Davey Eldridge, a Houston-based artist, captivated viewers with his vibrant paintings and dynamic compositions. Inspired by landscapes, his "Maps" series depicts the essence and rythm of nature rather than specific locations, with the landscape serving as a recurring motif. Working primarily in watercolor within the American postwar tradition of abstract art, Eldridge, originally from Canton, New York, studied painting and printmaking at the State University of New York, Potsdam, exhibiting his works in festivals and galleries in both Houston and upstate New York.
